If you have an account that includes cPanel access, you can add SRV records using the Zone Editor. To do this, follow these steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Log in to cPanel.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. In the\u00a0DOMAINS\u00a0section of the cPanel home screen, click\u00a0Zone Editor:<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Locate the domain for which you want to add an SRV record, and then click\u00a0Manage:<\/span><\/span>\"cPanel<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Click\u00a0Add Record, and then in the\u00a0Type\u00a0list box, select\u00a0SRV.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    3. In the Name text box, type the name for a valid SRV record, using the following format: _service._protocol.domain.<\/em>

      • _service<\/em> is the symbolic name of the service. For example, _sip<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • _protocol<\/em> is the transport protocol of the service. For example, _tcp<\/em> or _udp<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • domain<\/em> is the domain name for which the SRV record is valid. For example, sip.example.com<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • In the\u00a0TTL\u00a0text box, type the TTL (time to live) value, or accept the default value.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • In the\u00a0Priority\u00a0text box, type the priority for the SRV record.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • In the\u00a0Weight\u00a0text box, type the weight for the SRV record.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • In the\u00a0Port\u00a0text box, type the port number for the SRV record.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • In the\u00a0Target\u00a0text box, type the name of the server that provides the service.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Under\u00a0Actions, click\u00a0Add Record. cPanel adds the SRV record to the DNS zone file.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        As a reseller, you can use WebHost Manager (WHM) to add SRV records to your customers’ domains. To do this, follow these steps:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

        1. Log in to WebHost Manager.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        2. From the WebHost Manager home screen, click\u00a0DNS Functions, and then click\u00a0Edit DNS Zone.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        3. In the list box, select the domain for which you want to add an SRV record, and then click\u00a0Edit. The\u00a0Edit DNS Zone\u00a0page appears.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        4. Scroll down the page to the\u00a0Add New Entries Below this Line\u00a0section:<\/span><\/span>\"WHM<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        5. In the first text box, type the service name and protocol (for example,\u00a0_sip._tcp).<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        6. In the\u00a0Select\u00a0list box, click\u00a0SRV. Four addtional text boxes appear:<\/span><\/span>\"WHM<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        7. In the\u00a0Priority\u00a0text box, type the priority for the service.
          \n<\/span><\/span>If you are unsure what value to use, type\u00a00.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        8. In the\u00a0Weight\u00a0text box, type the weight for the service.<\/span><\/span>If you are unsure what value to use, type\u00a00.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        9. In the\u00a0Port\u00a0text box, type the TCP or UDP port that the service uses.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
        10. In the Hostname text box, type the hostname of the server that provides the service (for example, sip.example.com<\/em>).<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
