these are as follows:-<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Download the PHP binaries<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Configure PHP in IIS<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Downloading the PHP binaries<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">You can download the latest PHP binaries from the PHP website found here: <a href=\"http:\/\/windows.php.net\/download\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\">http:\/\/windows.php.net\/download\/<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">You must pay special attention to the version that you download, given that my server(s) run the 64-bit version of Windows, I will naturally choose to download and go for the x64 NTS (none-thread safe) version of PHP.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Once downloaded, extract all the files to C:PHP, this directory will be used to store our PHP binaries and configuration files.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span dir=\"ltr\" style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Installing PHP<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Now that we have the required runtimes installed and IIS has the CGI module enabled we can now start the final part of the setup and that is to install PHP!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Using the <em style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; border: none; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: inherit; font-style: italic;\">Administrative&nbsp;Tools<\/em> found under the <em style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; border: none; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: inherit; font-style: italic;\">Control Panel<\/em> again, this time we are going to open up the <strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-weight: bold;\">Internet Information Services&nbsp;(IIS) Manager<\/strong> application:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Now, from the left-hand menu click on the server\u2019s name, and then from the main panel double click the Handler Mappings icon as shown below:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.bobbyallen.me\/2016\/05\/02\/installing-php7-on-windows-server-2012-r2-and-iis-8\/handler_mappings\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-871\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/cdn.freshdesk.com\/data\/helpdesk\/attachments\/production\/33059940134\/original\/uJ-avuPGGP2dAvgz1jewkrLRAqAZYn0hKA.png?1623318728\" alt=\"handler_mappings\" class=\"wp-image-871\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">You will now be presented with the current handler mappings supported by the server, on the right-hand side of the window you should see a list of <em style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; border: none; font-size: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: inherit; font-style: italic;\">Action<\/em> links, click on the link named <strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-weight: bold;\">Invoke handler only if the request is mapped to:<\/strong> and then select the <strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-weight: bold;\">Ok<\/strong> again, the module mapping is now configured!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">Although not mandatory, it is recommended that you now set a default document so that directory level access to pages will automatically serve the \u201cindex\u201d page, it is common when serving PHP sites to have \u201cindex.php\u201d configured as a default index page\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica,sans-serif;\">To set a new index page, select the server name from the left-hand menu and then double-click on the <strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-weight: bold;\">Add<\/strong> link, and then, in the window that pops up type <strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; word-break: break-word; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-weight: bold;\">index.php<\/strong> and then click<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
