How to get my domain name back after it has expired?<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Assuming the domain has not been picked up by a third party, we can assist you in getting your domain name back.<\/p>\n

The process of domain rescue has the following fees charged by the domain registry.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Local domain, i.e. CO.ZA or .ORG.ZA, expire but fall within<\/u> the stipulated grace period, a \u201cDomain Rescue<\/strong>\u201d fee of R50.00<\/strong> will be applicable upon the domain successfully being retained after the expiration thereof.<\/li>\n
  • Local domains, i.e. CO.ZA or .ORG.ZA, expire and fall outside<\/u> the stipulated grace period, an additional \u201cDomain Redemption<\/strong>\u201d fee of R500.00<\/strong> will be charged to retain the domain after the expiration.<\/li>\n
  • International domain, .COM, .NET and .ORG, expire but fall outside<\/u> of the stipulated grace period, a minimum \u201cDomain Redemption<\/strong>\u201d fee between $89<\/strong> and $300\u00a0<\/strong>will apply if the domain is retained after the expiration thereof.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What happens when a local Domain expires?<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n
      \n
    • The landing page (single website page) will be replaced with a 1-grid home page.<\/li>\n
    • 0 – 5<\/strong> days thereafter the domain will be suspended and set to inactive<\/li>\n
    • 5 – 10<\/strong> days after expiration, the domain is set to pending deletion<\/li>\n
    • 10 \u2013 30<\/strong> days the domain is set to \u201cClosed Redemption\u201d period<\/li>\n
    • After 30 days<\/strong> the domain is released and available to the public for purchase<\/li>\n
    • If a third party purchases the domain name while the domain is available, the domain name will no longer be available for renewal on your account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      What happens when an International Domain expires ?<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n
        \n
      • The landing page (single website page) will be replaced with a 1-grid home page.<\/li>\n
      • If a domain name is not renewed by its expiry date, it is not immediately deleted, although it does cease to operate.<\/li>\n
      • 0 \u2013 40<\/strong> days the domain name is now in the grace period. During the 40 days<\/strong> following the expiry date (grace period) the registrant can reinstate the domain name simply by renewing it. If a third party wants to buy this domain name, they need to contact the registrant.<\/li>\n
      • 40 \u2013 70<\/strong> days if the domain name has not been renewed within the 40 days<\/strong> (grace period), the domain name then enters a 30 day<\/strong> Redemption period.<\/li>\n
      • To recover the domain during the Redemption Period the fee between $89<\/strong> and $300\u00a0<\/strong>is required.<\/li>\n
      • The Redemption Period applies to .COM, .NET and .ORG domains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
