Don\u2019t hesitate!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Ensure that you\u2019re Compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Speaking of promotional emails, if you\u2019re sending a commercial message to your customers, you\u2019ll have to follow these rules to maintain compliance<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Avoid deceptive subject line<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Avoid using misleading header information<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Let recipients know where you\u2019re located<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Inform your recipients how they can opt-out of receiving any future emails<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Immediately honor opt-out requests (the secret is to automate it)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Keep track of what others do on your behalf<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Clearly identify the message as a promotional message<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Include a Text Only Version of your Email<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you\u2019re sending HTML emails, they can easily end up in the spam folder. An easy way to get around this is to add a text-only version of your email. Further, this will also help if the recipient can\u2019t read the HTML email.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you have to send images, make sure that you use a good image to text ratio. Here are some tips to help your images avoid the spam filter:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Send a well-formed HTML for email<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Avoid image-only emails<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Do your best to optimize the images<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Include a minimum of two lines of text for every graphic used in the email<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Ensure that Email Authentication is Enabled<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Keeping email authentication enabled will help stop spam being generated from your email address (whether you\u2019re aware of it or not).
