How to add Google MX records (cPanel)

This quick guide will take you through the steps of setting up Google MX records in cPanel. 

Step 1.Log in to cPanel 

Step 2. Click on “Zone Editor” 

 

Step 3. Click on “Manage” next to the domain you wish to add these records to. 

 

Step 4. Use the filter to display your current MX records only. You can edit the existing ones or delete them before adding others. 

 

Step 5. Click on “Add Record” to add new MX records. 

 

Step 6. Below are the MX records for G Suite. Enter the records below under “Destination”.

ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 1
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 5
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 5
ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 10
ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 10

 

Step 7. Now that the MX records are added, you will have to change the email routing. Click on the cPanel home button

Step 8. Click on Email Routing

Step 9. Click on “Remote Mail Exchanger” and then Change.
