How to Use Onetime Secret

When sharing passwords or sensitive information, security matters. To protect your privacy, 1-grid uses Onetime Secret as a secure tool that generates a one-time-access link for confidential information. Once opened, the secret is permanently deleted, ensuring your details are never stored or viewable again.

This guide walks you through what Onetime Secret is, how it works, and how you can safely share sensitive details with us when needed.

Onetime Secret

What Is Onetime Secret?

Onetime Secret is a secure sharing tool that allows you to send confidential information through a single-use, encrypted link. Once the link is opened by the recipient, the information disappears permanently.

This prevents your passwords, access keys, control panel logins, or other sensitive details from being exposed in emails, chats, or ticket replies.

How Does It Work?

Onetime Secret uses end-to-end encryption and one-time-access links. This means:

  • The secret is encrypted in your browser before sending
  • Once the recipient views it, the message self-destructs
  • It cannot be reopened or recovered

You are always in control of:

  • What information you share
  • The passphrase you choose

Why Does This Matter?

Sharing passwords through email or screenshots can put your accounts at risk.

Onetime Secret protects your data by ensuring:

  • Information encryption
  • Your message only appears once
  • No one else can access your secret
  • Nothing is stored on 1-grid systems
  • Safety of sensitive details

Using Onetime Secret helps keep your information safe and gives you peace of mind while our Support Team assists you.
