How to Enable or Disable Domain Auto-Renewal

At 1-grid, your online brand and uninterrupted services are our top priority. That’s why we give you the freedom to choose whether to enable or disable your domain auto-renewal status.

Auto-renewal helps you keep your domains active without worry, and automates your invoicing for your domain. By enabling this feature, you prevent accidental expirations, ensuring uninterrupted website and email services.

This guide will explain how to enable or disable this setting and the simple process to request changes.

Overview of Domain Auto-Renewal

Domain auto-renewal automatically renews your domain before it expires, so you never have to worry about your website or email going offline. This feature is designed to give you peace of mind, reduce administrative tasks, and help prevent accidental service disruptions.

Benefits of Enabling Auto-Renewal

  • Avoid Domain Expiry: Ensures your domains remain active at all times.
  • Prevent Service Interruptions: Websites, emails, and other domain-dependent services stay online.
  • Simplify Management: Reduce manual renewals and focus on running your business.
  • Proactive Control: Keep your domains secure and avoid potential downtime.

How to Request Enabling or Disabling Auto-Renewal

Changing your domain’s auto-renewal status is simple. Our Cancellation Team handles these requests quickly and securely.

Steps to Request Changes

  1. Contact the Cancellation Team
    1. Provide Domain Names
      • List all domains that need to be updated.
      1. Provide a Reason (if disabling)
        • If you want to disable auto-renewal, include a clear reason. This ensures that our team can accurately record your request and provide the best support.
        1. Confirmation
          • The Cancellation Team will verify your request and update your domain settings. Most changes are processed immediately.

IMPORTANT: Should you request to disable the auto-renewal function on your domain, this means that no further billing will occur for this; however, your domain will remain in an “Active” status in your Customer Zone, and will be set to expire on the Expiry Date of the domain.
